I eagerly await my change
Like a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly
And looking forward to flying into the pale blue skies
I eagerly await my change
Like a riverbed anticipating seasonal terrestrial flood
To wash away all the muck
I eagerly await my change
As the Lord promised
Trusting His every word like a child
Hanging on to the words of a beloved father
I eagerly await my change
That transpires from my inner being
Transforming everything I touch outwardly
like a magic wand
A change that turns ashes
Into precious sand
And sadness to a smile untold
A change that breaths life
Into those in my vicinity
Like a wild bush fire
A change that helps me
See God in His holiness
Whatever my situation
That is the change I eagerly await
I will wait until my change comes
I will wait until my joy is complete
