Though it didn’t happen…

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NKJV

It was on the 22^nd of June 2011, I was expecting some funds for a project but it didn’t come through.

While washing up the dishes in the kitchen, staring out through the window, feeling disappointed, dejected and depressed, and wondering what next to do, I felt God saying to me, “though it didn’t happen, do you still believe in Me, do you still trust Me to provide all your needs?” With tears in my eyes, my answer was a resounding, “Yes Lord I still believe in You and I still trust You to provide all my needs”.

These are the words of the song that came out from that experience:

Though it didn’t happen, I still believe in You
Though it didn’t happen, You never stopped loving me
Though it didn’t happen, I still trust You
You’ll make all things work for my good
You’ll provide all my needs.

Nine years on, I’m still standing, still enjoying God’s benefits. God is meeting all my needs in ways I never thought possible. If the funds had come through then, I will not have known about God’s divine amazing grace and divine provision. Everything would have been about me, my work, my efforts, my achievements.

Be encouraged because He’s able. Be encouraged because He knows your name and He’s never stopped loving you. So, keep on believing, keep on trusting Him to provide all your needs, and He’ll make all things work for your good.

The entirety of God’s word is truth. Indeed, He makes all things work for our good.
