Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. — Isaiah 53:4-5 NLT
This time every year, Christians all over the world mark and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The One who came to His own, but He was not received. He was despised, rejected for our deeds. Stretched and lifted upon a tree and those cruel nails He took for us. To reflect on the One whom under the weight of all our sin, lifted His voice and cried, “My God why have You forsaken Me?”
The One who had the power to resist and say no to being arrested. But like a lamb being led to the slaughter, He had to go through with the plan, the plan to save humanity.
A season to re-dedicate our lives to the One whose sacrificial death and resurrection brought salvation through grace. And ensured our ransom is paid fully but for all those who will believe, acknowledge, and accept Him.
His sacrificial death and resurrection mean we can now experience eternal life and a never-ending relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
What a sacrifice that speaks for me and for all humanity as God laid on Him all of our sin! But then, mercy triumphed over judgement because all that He suffered was really the punishment meant for us.
The blood of Jesus speaks better things. It speaks of forgiveness, redemption, purification, and victory. Jesus, our High Priest of Righteousness, shared our weakness yet without sin. He calls us now to enter boldly to the throne of grace where mercy can be found in times of need. Because of Jesus my sins are forgiven, I am restored, I am free and now, life is worth living and worth living completely.
I’ve often asked myself how can it be that He hung on a cross, and I go free when my sin was the cause? He humbled Himself and took my place so that I may know His grace. Oh, what amazing, loving grace this is!
It was for love for humanity that He was crucified on Calvary. But in victory, He rose from the grave, triumphed over death.
For God so greatly loved the world that He gave His only son. He gave Him to the world, and as a perfect ransom. The hope of my salvation is that He rose from the dead, He is alive! Because He lives and reigns, my hope and joy are revived and renewed.
Hallelujah, rejoice for the tomb is empty, death has been defeated! He is risen. He is alive. And He is coming again soon!
Stay blessed and Happy Easter,
