The Lord looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. – Psalms 33:13-15 (NLT)

Eagles’ eyes, fixed on the sides of their head, give them a nearly panoramic vision. And while most humans have 20/20 vision, eagles are blessed with an amazing 20/5 vision. This means that what looks sharp and clear to us at 5 feet is just as clear to an eagle from 20 feet away. Eagles have a 340- degree visual field compared to ours of 180 degrees.
A drone in the sky can monitor movement at an altitude of up to 60,000 feet. For example, the High Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) drones can fly for a day or two at a time at altitudes exceeding 60,000 feet. These drones are used to perform wide-area surveillance missions using powerful sensors.
We live in a surveillance society with the use of modern technology e.g., cameras and listening devices to monitor our everyday activities. The government say this is to deter crime, but many say this is an invasion of privacy.
The eye of the Lord is more than that of the eagle, a drone, satellites and surveillance technology put together. The eyes of God can see right into the human heart, and He knows and understands what goes on in there.
As God is seated on His throne, He sees and knows and understands everything that happens on planet earth and all that goes on in the heart of humans. As high as His dwelling place is, God sees us all, and everyone and everything is naked and open before Him. Not the least thought of our heart can escape His observation or notice. Everyone is accountable to Him.
Because He formed or fashions the heart, He knows, understands, considers, and weighs all our works and justly rewards us according to our works. “But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” Jeremiah 17:10 (NLT)
We rejoice in the God who not only created everything, but whose plan for this world and His creation will stand forever regardless of the actions of man. God still moulds the hearts of men, to serve His own purpose. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.” Proverbs 21:1 (NKJV)
Our security, salvation, joy and happiness is in having the LORD as our God. God is omniscient, meaning He knows everything. He fully understands and perceives our thoughts, all our doings, origin, purpose, and hidden motives.
God, however, doesn’t seat on His throne watching and waiting to catch us doing something wrong. Though He judges our wrongdoing, He is omnipresent, meaning He’s always present to keep an eye on us because He loves us. He wants to help us and doesn’t want us to miss out on His blessings, divine purpose and plan for our lives.
“As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person” Proverbs 27:19 (NLT). So, how’s your heart?
Stay blessed,
